東北カップ2日目　強風と青空の下で爽快に走るブローカート日和！ヨーロッパオープンと同じ設定でコース設定は自分流。セイルとコース取りの微妙な調節、スピードと他の選手との掛け合いがとても面白いレースとなりました！今回のオランダ産の豪華メダルは全国に散らばりました！とても楽しいレースでした！

Tohoku Cup 2nd day Great wind and blue sky for racing! The course is set up like the recent European Open with only 2 marks. It was very interesting racing with all different courses of each competitor. Medals were well spread to all corners of Japan!

東北カップ1日目　全国からメンバーが集まりいよいよ初の東北カップが開幕。みんなメダルを目指して誰が強いか？バテンやタイヤ、セイルをそれぞれチェック？レース会場、宿泊、レセプション、倉庫とすべて揃った青い森アリーナの素晴しい施設にみな感謝感激。
レース終了後は、明日に向けレセプションで乾杯！メンバーみんなの笑顔が素敵でした。

Tohoku Cup 1st day The first Opening race in Tohoku, in northern Japan.  Thanks to the racing field, the amazing facilities; huge car-parking for racing, accommodation, reception restaurant, storage, and all other sports facilities. Cheers and a good party after racing on the 2nd day!

ボルボ　ヨーロッパオープン2007　2日目
早朝の気温０℃。辺りに霜がおり、ベアリングが寒さで固まり動きが悪い！血相を変え日本チーム一斉に朝からメンテ！さて、レースはフライ＆ライトウェイト一斉30台以上がスタート！断トツトップは、我が日本チーム、船澤泰隆、バンノート直子！全てのレースでほとんどの選手と1週差をつけ、余裕のトップ優勝を獲得！青野竜也も4位。またミドル・ヘヴィークラスも、ジミーバンノート5位、石橋義雄5位、村田文昭7位と全員上位を獲得。日本選手のレベルの高さを世界に堂々とアピールした大会となりました！おめでとう！

Volvo European blokart Championship 2007
Preparations started with a frosty 0℃ probably making the bearings less smooth then they ought to be. Some quick maintenance and warm-up was required! Racing started with fly & light weight classes with about 30 blokarts on the track. Yasu and Naoko got the top position in the most of all races, and took 2 champion titles for Japan! Tatsuya got 4th, Jimi 5th, Yoshikatsu 5th, and Fumiaki 7th, great results overall. Congratulations to all winners and we look forward to the next global event!

ボルボ　ヨーロッパオープン2007　１日目
真っ青な青空に各国の国旗が立ち並び、メインスポンサーのボルボ車が登場。選手全員スポンサーシールをセイルに貼り、ビーチでオープニング、その後コンクリート会場へ。100台以上が並び、迫力満点。世界初めての５．５ｍセイルも発表されました！風が弱く、レースは明日へ。夜は海辺のホテルでレセプションパーティー。20カ国の選手と友達になり、素晴しい思い出の夜となりました。

Volvo European blokart Championship 2007
Opening ceremony on the beach with all national flags and sponsor’s VOLVO cars! VOLVO stickers are applied on all competitor sails and all are ready to go racing on the concrete track. A very impressive view with well over 100 blokarts  lined up along the track and the newly released 5.5m sail! Not much wind though which brought us to the reception party back on the promenade. A wonderful time to meet the extended blokart family members from all over the world.

ボルボ　ヨーロッパオープン2007　大会前日
16日からオランダ経由でベルギーに到着。オステンドは、ベルギーNO.1のリゾート。カジノあり、町全体が遊園地のようにゴージャス。長く広い素敵な海岸線と夕日が映画のようです。日本チーム着々と準備、練習。エントリー120名の選手がレースできる会場は、ものすごい広さ。まるで氷のようにも見えるコンクリート！大会会場は、ビーチとコンクリートの2会場での開催。スペインからのトラック倉庫のサポートもあり。日本チームの準備はOK、レーストロフィー目指して、がんばるぞ！

Volvo European blokart Championship 2007
The japanese team arrived on the 16th via Amsterdam. Ostend is one of the great resort cities in Belgium with casino, a host of great restaurants, yacht harbor and a beautiful coast line with sepia sunsets. The huge concrete space for 120 competitors looked like it was made of ice. Racing is planned on the beach and at the  concrete track. A great thanks to Jerome Cottet for supporting the japanese team with blokarts and storage in his truck!
All we need now is to get those trophies.

雨のスリップストップ！と、３６０度、５４０度ターンのエキシビション！昨日と変わりものすごい強風で３ｍセイルでも猛スピード。昨年の大会を思い出します。

昨晩のレセプションは、全国の仲間とみんなで乾杯！リゾートインあおのBBQも最高。夜明けまで続き、みんなレセプションもめいいっぱい楽しみました。

Exhibition day with rainy slip-stops and 360's and 540's on tarmac. Amazing strong wind just like last year all helping to get great speeds with a 3m sail. We all enjoyed the reception BBQ at RESORT INN AONO and almost all of us continued until the early morning!

風が１日で３６０度回転し、強弱の波がある今までの中でとても難しい上級レース大会。コースはV字。１日で２３レースを展開。コースラインとセイルトリムがとても重要。いつも以上に選手を悩ませ、経験と風の読みが試される面白い大会となりました。

A second day with Yasu-san at Ioka beach was sadly interrupted but rain which killed the wind. However, 45 minutes at Ioka beach was a good handle on beach sailing rather than asphalt as on the previous day.

ヨットのプロフェッショナルセイラー船澤さんは恐ろしい早さで上達。ライトウェイトクラスは最有力候補が出現！ちがうクラスでよかったとジミー。プロフェッショナルで教え方も上手、素晴しい素質をもった新しいメンバーがディーラーに加わりました。

Sailing with a new blokart sailor who is a professional sailor of boats is always a challenge. The speed at which Yasu-san improved within a few hours will be a worry for those competing in the Light Weight Class, which is fortunately not my weight class. We welcome him as a sailor, a great teacher for all, a great guy and a new member in the Japan blokart dealership.

日本最高新記録　更新！千葉県飯岡海岸

時速７４．７ｋｍ　ジミー　バンノート

４５０ｍの走行に１５０ｍのスローダウン距離で２ｍセイル　時速７４ｋｍを記録。そしてオールブラックb-マシーンのテクニックにより３ｍセイルではさらに時速７４．７ｋｍを更新！

走行中の風速は、１２．９７ｍ/ｓという強風。

素晴しい記録。おめでとうございます！

New Japanese Speed Records were set at Ioko Beach in Chiba in the wake of the passing typhoon. On a 450m stretch with another 150m for slowing down and turning 74.0km was set with a 2m sail. 74.7km was all that could be pumped out of a 3m sail by the All Black b-machine. During the runs a gust of 12.97 m/s was measured. (The windspeed-speedo has been calibrated for m/s so the KMH and display decimal dot readout are not applicable)
